I stared at him skeptically. A part of me wanted to call bull with his cryptic words.

My interest piqued however as he pulled out something from his suit jacket, passing it to me on the table.

‘A card?’ I thought skeptically as I took it. Scrunching my brows, I looked at it up close. The front showed enough to know that it was an invitation to a mating ceremony. What did that have to do with me however?

Flipping open the invitation card, I froze.

It was like the air had been punched out of me. The names written on the invitation…

My blood ran cold as I traced it into memory.
