Aria avoided me since that day in my father’s office. I expected to be pleased with her reaction, but I felt annoyed. She didn’t even look at me during practice when I gave Ella and her suggestions to improve their skills.
Her performance during training impressed me. She was a fast learner and was eager to try anything new. Despite her achievements and the cheering of the other warriors, Aria never put a cocky smile on her face.
Darius was by her side, supporting her and driving me crazy with jealousy. I never reacted tough. After what happened at my father’s office that day, I had no excuse to pull her away from him. I gritted my teeth and endured their physical contact to prove my father’s suspicions wrong.
