Chapter 31

It was all very complicated. For Eden, kissing was just a matter of lips on lips. Ivan had done it very roughly. He apologized in his charming way, when Eden pulled away from him, trembling, his fingers pressed to her bruised lips. Ivan had explained that it was because of the uncontrollable passion vibrating inside him. He'd been so convincing that Eden had felt a little ashamed, as if it were her fault. 

Now she had to learn how to kiss her husband properly. It wasn't so much a duty as a pleasure. It was all very unsettling, especially when she found herself so close to Ian.

 It was hard for her to distinguish between shame, envy and fear.

“I assure you, Eden, that seeing you like this, with your lips half-open, you don't need any further training,” Ian murmured in a rough voice.
