Matteo’s POV

I enjoyed talking to Freya. She’s so naive, and I’m sure that Calvin and the others liked her already. When she walked faster, I decided to let her be and follow her instead. Everyone thought that she was weak, including me. Seeing her fight earlier was unexpected. Even before I found out that she was mine, I was already sure, and even my beast agreed with me.

“Frey,” the idiot Alpha’s son called her. Just why does everyone call her that, and I can’t? No, because I didn’t want to call her the way others do. I am her mate, so I had to call her differently.
