Chapter 48

Freya’s POV

I want to know what happened, but I cannot force myself to remember everything. I always get a headache every time I do that, and just like Matteo said, it was uncommon for a Lycan or a wolf to feel something like that. We heal a lot faster than anybody else, so a simple headache should be nothing. But because I was forcing my brain to remember everything I wanted to know, the headache became unbearable at times.

King Marco has a point. I needed to condition myself and prepare my heart and mind for the truth that would be uncovered once I regained my memory. I was very ill-tempered and would surely do what everybody does when they find out that a certain someone has hurt them, and I shouldn’t act recklessly. I didn’t want to worry Matteo and my parents. Especially them. They never hide anything from me but tell me everything they know about my biological parents.
