Returning back into the cabin, Darren held Kyley in his arms, carrying her like a princess.

The latter just clung unto him with her face buried in his chest, seemingly lost in thought.

Tap! Tap! Tap!.

He silently carried Kyley up the stairs, ignoring the living room that seemed disheveled as though a war had broken out there.

He had a solemn expression worn on his face.

Getting to the top of the stairs, Darren continued towards the room.

Once he got in the room, Darren slowly walked towards the bed and gently laid Kyley down on it.

The latter turned on the bed, facing her back to Darren. She wrapped her bloodied hands around herself as she curled in bed. Her gaze seemingly lost in a distant thought.

Darren didn't say anything and just say by the bed, his back faced to Kyley as well. He stared at a distant spot in thought with a sour expression on his face.

Silence loomed over in the dark room as emotions grew intense
