Chapter 50
Kamilina helped Kian pack their bags. Their three days at Kian’s village turned out to be the best of her life. She met new people and learned to ride a horse, even though not perfectly. She was glad for it anyway. Through the learning, Kian had been gentle and patient with her. He had also taken good care of her, as he had promised her brother. She had lacked nothing, and she didn’t know how she would thank him. She also met the grandmother, who meant the world to Kian, and had promised to come back as soon as she could to spend time with her. They helped her open a few shops because she kept complaining to Kian that she was bored, stuck at home with nothing to do.
Kian always sent everything to her and her grandchildren so that she would lack nothing. He had also made sure she had workers to help with household chores. “Done?” Kamilina turned to face Kian, who was tying his shoelaces.
“Done,”
