When Charles entered the room, Rosabella already felt like she had a full day behind her, fatigue showing on her face. She didn’t even give him time to say anything and instead started talking right away.
“When I see Fanny, I’ll tell her we’re leaving.” She declared.
Charles stepped forward and resisted the urge to chuckle at the ugly expression she was trying to convey.
To tease her, he casually shoved his hands in his pockets and tilted his head to the side. “Is that so? And how do you think you’ll manage to do it without getting yourself or Fanny in serious trouble?”
Rosabella crossed her arms in exasperation and tossed her hair over her shoulder. She hates it when he talks to her like she’s a kid.

“That’s right.” She stared at him, unfazed by the amusement on his face.
