Chapter 75. Starting Again

Sophie’s POV

“Sophie, I’m so sorry for what happened a while ago,” Lance said to me while patting my shoulders.

Vincent just went here a while ago, and he even tried to take me with him. Good thing I was able to defend myself and told him not to show his face to me anymore.

“Lance, I think I need to leave your house already,” I said as I wiped the tears in my eyes. “If I stay here, I know Vincent will just keep on going here and try to get me again.”

“Okay, then, let’s just buy a house for you somewhere. However, I prefer you to be here; if you are here, I know that you are safe. I can watch over you. Please just stay here for a while, Sophie.”

“But-”

“Stay here for a while until you can finally find a decent job and rent your own pad.”
