LETTING GO

When Chelsea answered, she slowly moved her phone away from her ear and placed it on the table. She picked up her wine glass and took a sip, inhaling deeply and calming herself down.

After five minutes, she picked up her phone again and placed it against her ear. "Are you still there?" Chelsea's voice remained expressionless.

Red's swallow was audible on the other end of the line before he answered, "I'm still here… Can we… Can we talk?" Red asked.

"I called you because I really wanted to talk to you." Chelsea replied.

A smile appeared on Red's lips as he stepped out of his room and into the pool area of his house. "I don't know where to start actually."

"That's fine, I just called to tell you that I received what you sent me and I listened to it." Chelsea said. She poured more wine into her glass and took another sip. There was nothing but silence on Red�
