I fell silent for a moment as a sudden thought crossed my mind.

“By the way, where are Mom and Dad?” I looked up at him.

“Oh. They just left a couple of hours ago. They said they had some things to attend to. They stayed here for a week. It’s a shame they didn’t catch you waking up. I’m sure they would be delighted to know.”

I turned towards him and felt a slight sadness. “That’s a pity.”
