Eliza’s POV

“You were incredible out there. Thank you for your help,” Alpha Theron said, pulling me temporarily from my thoughts. His praise felt like sunlight breaking through clouds, warming me in a moment of uncertainty. Just as I began to respond, I noticed Caia approaching, an expression on her face that betrayed a mix of anxiety and determination. “Can I have a word, please, Eliza?” she asked, her voice slightly trembling.

“Of course, what’s on your mind?” I replied, curious and a bit wary.
