Chapter 54

LENORA'S POV

"Lenora" I heard someone calling my name late at night but I was quick to recognise the voice even though it was pretty low. I rubbed my eyes to be able to see well as I walked towards the door and on opening it, Alaric immediately entered the room and shut the door behind as he immediately grabbed me into his arms while burying his head on my shoulder.

I was still feeling sleepy thus confused about what was going on until my memory started to form in my head and I remembered I had fallen asleep while waiting for him to come home last night but he never did.

I tried to understand what was happening to him and why he suddenly came to my room this late and the first thing he was doing was to hug me tight.

"What's wrong?" I asked but he still didn't seem to be ready to talk about what was happening to him yet.

"Lenora" he heaved a deep breath once more.

"Yeah I'm here" I respond
