The realization that I could not escape from this place that Frederick had captured me in was pressing hard against my consciousness. I was feeling that I was about to draw my last breath but everytime the thought crosses my mind, I take in another breath.

And I thought about it every second and even the spaces between seconds.

I paced around the room frantically like I was standing on hot lava and if I stood at one place, I would get obliterated.

I still could not comprehend the reason why he would kidnap me. He had said he wanted to use me to unite all the packs in the city. I couldn't understand why he wanted to use me.

What importance was there of me?

My eyes fell on the clothes on the bed. The guards that brought me here had told me to take
