Chapter 174

Ice understood as he then switched to the drivers seat.

Max got in as he leaned on the dashboard. The car moved again as Emily decided to keep shut.

Max was teary eyed as Ice patted his back. Max was the usual Buffy guy who could beat up anyone and take any hit but he was soft to the core.

“Are you guys okay?” Emily asked.

“Yes we are fine” Ice answered immediately.

In that moment he understood why formality within client and staff was a wrong idea.

“Well I apologize if that came out harshly, I just needed to pour my heart out and talk. I just wanted to say the truth” Emily said.

She got no reply as she shook her head.

Ice wondered if she was pretending to be calm and nice all the while. He was aware no one was perfect but only a desperate psycho could be okay with what her father was doing. 

He held the rage that was burning inside of him as he increased the speed.
