Elara’s gaze shifted to Sarah and Frank, and it felt as though she were peering into their very souls. “I sense a deep concern within you both,” she said, her voice carrying the weight of centuries of knowledge. “Tell me, what brings you here today?”
Alrond smiled and then said, “one thing I like about you. You do your job well. Perhaps staying with the wolves have increased your senses,” his voice held so much softness and warmth that it made even Sarah’s skin to have goosebumps.
Elara blushed, “you flatter me Lord Alrond. I am only a humble servant.”
Alrond walked towards her and planted a warm kiss on her cheeks, his voice seductive, “a servant indeed.”
