Mark's POV
I stormed into my room and slammed the door behind me. I was still furious from the argument with my parents. I couldn't believe they still prioritize other people over me even at this age.
I slumped down in my bed and brought out my phone, dialing Emilia's number.
She answered on the first ring.
"Hey. What did your mother say?”
“Is that all you care about? You didn’t even ask how my day went.”
“That is none of my business, Mark. What is going on between us is strictly transactional.”
“Can you not say that? The baby can hear you.”
“Oh please”
I inhaled deeply, trying to calm down. "Hey, Em. It's not good. I just talked to my parents about you moving in with us, and they said no."
There was a sudden silence on the other end of the line. "What? Why not?"
