Chapter 35. Jelousy

Emma’s delighted shout received only a flat response from Jeremy, and her smile faltered. Turning her head, she saw him staring blankly in one direction. Following his gaze, she spotted Elena and Logan together. A flicker of jealousy rose in her chest, but she quickly pushed it down, convincing herself he was only thinking about business matters with Logan.

Elena approached unhurriedly. Emma grabbed her arm and pointed excitedly at an elegant white halter wedding dress. “Elena, take a look at this one. Isn’t it beautiful?”

Elena nodded sincerely. “It’s beautiful.”

Emma’s mood brightened instantly, and she snorted proudly. “Of course. I always have good taste.”

Jeremy went to try on his custom-made suit. The clerk returned with it, and when Jeremy emerged dressed in white, he looked like the perfect groom—tall, lean, and handsome. E
