More than an hour later, I woke up feeling hungry and subsequently got out of bed in a half-dazed state with plans to head downstairs and find something to fill my protesting stomach with.

"You are awake, ma'am. I was just on my way to check up on you." She said upon seeing me.

Immediately, all traces of dazedness vanished from my face as I asked in confusion, "Check up on me? Why?"
