Liana’s POV

I was still in shock. Still trying to process what Killian had just said.

Even as he tossed his keys to the valet and told me to follow him into the building, I was still in a complete daze.

We got to his office. He swiped his card, the doors opened, and he stepped inside while I followed, but my mind was still stuck in the car.

Once inside, he threw his phone on the desk and loosened his tie like nothing just exploded between us.

“How did you know?” I finally asked, my voice hoarse. “How did you know the baby Cynthia’s carrying isn’t yours? Isn’t she your wife?! Why the hell would she be pregnant for someone else while married to you?! Explain it, Killian. Make me understand.”

He looked right at me. Way too calm.

“Because I’m an alpha.”

I stared at him like he’d lost his damn mind. “What the hell does that even mean?!”
