Chapter 61
Liana’s POV
I was shaking, my whole body trembling as those three monsters came closer, and for the first time since they locked me up in this stinking, foul-smelling room, I truly believed this was the end. My hands were tied, my legs felt like they couldn’t move even if I tried, and my heart was racing so fast it hurt. I kept whispering Killian’s name under my breath like it was a spell, hoping, praying, begging for a miracle, but I knew deep down, I was on my own now.
“She’ll be so sweet,” one of them sneered as he reached out for me, and I turned my face, unable to even scream. But a low growl escaped my throat without warning, one that made him pause for a second. His face twisted in anger and he slapped me so hard my neck snapped to the side. My ears rang. I could taste blood.
