Chapter 84
Liana’s POV
“So, have you picked a date yet?” My stepmom asked, her voice light as she sat at the edge of my hospital bed, her fingers gently adjusting the hem of my blanket like she couldn’t sit still. “I mean, the wedding dress, the hall, the cake… Liana, you haven’t even started anything. Do you know how fast time flies?”
I gave her a small smile and shook my head, letting out a soft sigh. “We haven’t even set a date yet,” I admitted, resting my head back against the pillow. “Everything happened so fast… I haven’t really had time to think about any of that.”
She made a face at me, clearly unimpressed. “That’s exactly why you should be thinking about it now. Your dress alone might take months. And the baker for the cake? Don’t get me started. Do you know how long it takes to book someone good enough for a soon-to-be Luna Queen’s wedding?”
I laughed a little. “Mom, I’m barely out of bed. I think I get a pass for not picking cake flavors yet.”
