Chapter 26

We sprang apart. I adjusted my clothes even though they weren’t rumpled, my heart thumping in my chest at the realization that we almost got caught. What if I hadn’t locked the door? Why had I locked the door anyway?

Andre didn’t put his shirt on. He stepped back and waited for me to finish fidgeting with my clothes then once I moved away from the door he shoved a hand through his hair releasing a heavy sigh before opening the door.

Siobhan was in his arms in seconds. “Hey, babe,” she started to kiss him when she noticed me standing there. “Oh, Bianca luv, you’re here.”

I tried to smile. “Y-yeah… was eh…we were…”

“Planning more surprises for you, baby,” came Andre’s strong voice.

Siobhan’s eyes lit up. “Oh, you two! Why did I ever insist you become friends?” she rolled her eyes with a smile. “Now I will probably be getting new surprises every day. Am I a lucky girlfriend or what?”

“The luckiest,” Andre said kissing her lips soundly. I stood there
