Chapter 26. Paintings Don’t Lie
Jeremy’s POV
The knock came hard enough to rattle the damn doorframe. I cursed under my breath. Give it to Bianca to get all worked up whenever she couldn’t reach me.
“Where do I hide?” Teyana scrambled up, using the sheet to cover her half-naked body. I hated that something else had to remind her of why this wasn’t right. I could see the fear and regret all over her face. I didn’t want her to regret.
I didn’t want her to hide. But…that would be trouble for her. If it was another woman, I wouldn’t care about Bianca seeing us together or the world knowing even. But in Teyana’s case, a lot was at stake. No one could know I was fucking her or all I had built, all my father had built would come crashing down.
So I jerked my head to the closet, guiding her. She panicked as she rushed inside it. My chest tightened when the closet door clicked shut behind her.
