Chapter 170. Travels

[ I’ll be there in five minutes, I hope you’re ready.]

As soon as I read the text, my pulse quickened. It wasn’t nervousness about seeing him - it was introducing him to the twins.

I quickly finished my makeup and stood up from the vanity chair. Then I grabbed my bag from the bed before heading to the kid's room.

“Are you ready to go?” I asked and they both nodded in unison.

“I’m so excited to see him,” Rowan said eagerly as he stepped out of the room.

Riley chimed in. “Me too.”

Maxim was in the city and he wanted me to finally introduce him to the kids. I didn’t protest against the idea because the introduction was due already.

Since Riley and Rowan already knew about him, it was only fair that I introduced them to each other. I held them by their hands as I led them outside the house.
