Alexander’s brows knitted into a frown. “What do you want to talk about?” I could see the disappointment in his eyes. “Don’t you want to be with me?” He asked, still kneeling on one leg.

I wiped off my tears with the back of my hands. “I wasn’t expecting you to propose to me. Are you even sure you want to get married to me?” I asked, scared of repeating my past mistakes.

Without hesitation, Alexander nodded his head. “Yes, of course. I’ve been waiting for this day ever since we crossed paths again. I was even patient enough to wait for you while you were with those other men.”
