“Hey, Riley. I haven’t seen you around in forever.” Brittany said as she strolled into the room. “Are you good?” She asked, tossing her bag on her bed.

Brittany was barely around in the room, so we hardly saw each other since I was now attending classes from the house.

“Yes, I’m good,” I responded, zipping my bag. “Are you good?” I asked, just to be polite.

“Sure,” Brittany replied.

Our conversation was brief, just like always.

Brittany wasn’t the chatty type. I wasn’t the chatty type either. Unless it was with my close friends. Brittany had other friends outside our room, and she always left to meet them.
