Chapter 33. I Am Not Going to Beg Him
"Wear it." Toby Cage whispered.
Veronica glared at him.
Toby turned and got into the car, which disappeared into the night.
Veronica had never seen such an inexplicable person.
There should be a limit to sympathy, right? Besides, who wanted his sympathy?
No one needed it!
As Veronica walked, she wondered where she was going to throw the dress.
After walking for a while, she saw a homeless man who was lying under the bushes by the side of the road.
She walked over and the tramp opened his eyes.
Veronica took off her coat. "Here you are."
She dropped her coat and left.
The tramp looked at her strangely, looked at the clean and textured clothes, smelled it a little, then put it on him, and went back to sleep.
When Veronica came home, the children were asleep and Isabella was still in the living room with a cell phone in hand.
