Chapter 18. Reject Me and Let Me Go
Caliana’s POV
“No shifting during this training,” he growled, his voice sharp and commanding as it sliced through the air. His gaze was fixed squarely on Garret, cold and unyielding, the kind that brooked no argument. Whatever he had said to him just moments earlier must have been enough to make Garret stiffen, because his eyes flicked to me briefly before he straightened and nodded.
Then Edward turned to me.
“My office. Now.”
There was no room for discussion, no hint of request in his tone—only an order. I swallowed hard and followed him without a word, my heart already beginning to race. The walk felt far longer than it should have been, my boots echoing faintly against the stone floors as we moved deeper into the building. Every step closer to his private space made my nerves tighten further.
