Chapter 66

Raphael’s POV

I sat down on the couch in defeat. I’d managed to make Camilla angry at me again. Every time we wanted to talk, I somehow always said the wrong thing and pushed her further away from me. Why did I always do that?

It wasn’t my intent to shame her for her decisions when she was younger or make her think Aurora was something to be hidden. I’d fucked up, once again. I didn't know when the words came out of my mouth.

I just sat there, thinking about my words. I was waiting for somebody, anybody to come back downstairs. I didn't mean to push her away again. I wanted to speak to her because I was sure she was going to leave again. She wouldn't stay. Not after what I said to her.
