Chapter 113
Without seeming too excited about the idea, Colton sits next to me a moment later. He presses a napkin on his nose, wiping it from the blood in the best way he can. The good news is that at least the bleeding has ceased.
"I'm not hungry," he says.
"That's your problem, my friend. This place is the maximum privacy we will have if you want to know anything. And, let's face it, this has been a hellish night. You need a new dose of energy to have a frank conversation.”
"Then start saying," I say a little too abruptly.
Jonathan arches an eyebrow and examines me for too long.
"You should eat something, love. His face is getting a little green.”
"Say at once," I ask, tired.
The seat was made for a tall person, considering that I can't see the other tables while Jonathan is in front of me. However, I know we are alone, with the exception of the attendant who promptly fills three cups of coffee on our table.
