Jeanne was in front of the cold and lifeless body of the one who had been her best friend for less than a month and a half. It was awful, her chest had been butchered and she wondered why such savagery. Peggy was not one to hurt people, she was admittedly naive and a little crazy but she was a good person. Why did she have to die like this? She wanted only one thing, to earn enough money to be able to support her family and live decently. She knew how difficult it was every day. She told her that her father was far too old to continue working in the fields, and that her mother was trying somehow to feed her little brothers and sisters with the meager sums that she sent her and also, what her own cadets managed to bring home. They didn't really have time to study, who would pay? She still wanted her two little brothers to graduate from primary school so she sent more money from her own resources to pay for their schooling.
