The guard reached into his pouch and produced ten gold coins that he gave to the boy at the nod of the lycan King.
The boy made to return the sovereign gold coin, but the guard refused to collect it. He too was not safe if that coin was found in his possession.
‘Keep it as a pass into the palace. The knight here would inform his superior and the superior will spread the news at the appointed time. Try to stay out of trouble till then’, the lycan King said and this time he turned and left turning a deaf ear to the boy’s cries of gratitude.
He needed to investigate this family better, he needed the appropriate ammunition if he was going to mold Olivia into the appropriate woman to be at his side.
