‘My king, I can explain’ the lycan Queen stuttered out in response to the lycan king’s question..

‘And I want to hear your explanation. Tell your king why he has not set his eyes on you since last week?’ the lycan king asked as he continued his ministrations. He too let her rest because his beast was after mating with her, and he felt it was too soon. He needed her fully rested. But if she could find the time and energy to be evading him at every turn, then she was not as weak as he thought.

‘I failed you your majesty. And I could not bear to be in your presence’ the lycan Queen said to the lycan king, her voice full of shame as she spoke.

The lycan king chuckled at her words. If only she knew how proud she made him, but that was not a story for her ears.

‘Is that right? And how exactly did you fail me, my Queen? Did you plan the conception?’ the lycan king asked the lycan Queen.

‘No, my king’ was Queen Olivia’s breathy response to the lycan king.
