Chapter 28. Save

Leila opened her eyes – as she felt the pain slowly rushing into her own body. It was as if every part of her was already too throbbing that she couldn’t even lift her own fingers. It was also so difficult for her to breath.

“Leila…” She could recognize Myrtle’s voice calling her name.

However, her mouth was dry – as she opened her lips and say something. But she couldn’t utter a single word. She was still oblivious as to what was happening around her.

But she tried so hard to fight her own pain.

‘I can do it. I can do it…’ It was like a mantra inside her head.

“Butler Henry, kindly call Hunter and Uncle Bob…” Myrtle ordered the good butler – who instantly obeyed her order.

Then, she looked at her. That was the least that she could do now. She opened her mouth – as she breath using it.

“Water?” She asked kindly – and all that she could do was to nod her head as an answer.

Even doing that, Leila felt to be too painfully difficult.
