Chapter 76. Let Her Sleep

Daniel Neptune’s POV

Sleep. That was the only way I could let Madeline take over her.

Over the past few days, I had noticed that whenever Victoria completed her training schedule, she wanted to do nothing but sleep. There were times when I had to make her sit in ice-cold water so that she wouldn’t drift off. At first, I thought it was due to pure exhaustion from the training, but I was so wrong. Her eyes had started to turn a shade darker day by day. She would tell me she was just resting, not sleeping, but I could see it. Even a few minutes of rest was dangerous for her. Her once brown-and-amber eyes were growing darker and blacker. It was clear to me that Madeline was trying to take over her.

She was trying to seize control of her body, and it was definitely something to be concerned about, but I didn’t tell Victoria anything. I didn’t tell her
