Chapter 92. Second Chances

As we hurried across the road to the hospital, anxiety and pain gripped me. Leon's words barely registered in my mind, except for one thing — Hector was rushed to the hospital!

Rushing to the nurse's counter, I stammered, "M-miss, Hector Aragon..."

The nurse nodded, glancing at her monitor before replying, "Still in the emergency room, Ma'am."

Confusion clouded my thoughts. Why was he still in the ER?

Before I could dwell on it, Leon's urgent voice snapped me back. "Ana, I found them!"

Without hesitation, I followed him to the emergency room. My heart raced with worry. Why was Hector here, and why hadn't I been told sooner?

As we approached a curtained-off area, Leon halted abruptly. With a swift motion, he drew back the curtain, revealing Hector within. My eyes darted over him, searching for signs of injury. The nurse was tending to his arm, but aside from that, he seemed unharmed.
