Disappointed

I glanced at the intercom that rang on the right side of my table. “Mr. Galvez is on the line,” Farrah said excitedly.

“Okay,” I said before pressing the intercom button.

“Sir?” I said in a low voice.

“Meet me at my penthouse now,” he ordered me.

“I have to finish those papers right before then, Nick.”

He chuckled sexily. That’s why I rolled up my eyes. “I know, you’re the boss! So stop reminding me about it, Nick!” I blurted out.

“Just finish those papers, come here, and join me later for lunch!” he concluded.

I relaxed my back against the swivel chair and ended the call. But my back also rose quickly from sitting.

“Oh, no! Stupid, Cherry!” I scratched my own forehead. I forgot that Rexon and I had a lunch date today.
