Chapter 8. A Mistake
ALESSANDRO
I angrily swiped the contents of my table to the floor. I made a mistake last night. A very nasty mistake.
I slept with my son’s nanny last night. It was a spur of the moment kind of thing. How ludicrous.
She acted civil and professional with me this morning. I was surprised. Last night was her first time and she did not let her emotions get the best of her.
She was very respectful this morning and if not for the fact that I noticed she did not look at my face but kept her gaze low, I would’ve said it was all a dream.
But I knew better.
The bloodstain was a glaring reminder, I was her first. She even walked with a little bit of difficulty. I messed up.
I rubbed my fingers on my temples, this was frustrating.
Amara walked in to clean up the mess I made. She looked so beautiful today as always.
Age gracefully kept her gaze on the floor, not giving me any attention. I didn’t mind today anyways, I had a lot on my mind.
