“Don't give me that flimsy excuse. Mr. Gideon is our main dealer, and you bailed out on him.” Cain roared.

“Hey man, no need to get too sensitive, okay? I'll just fill him in on all the details next week.” Marvin brushed it off.

“Next week? By that time all the geldings would have been bolted, and you know what? I think you should take a break from work.” Cain retorted.

“And do what exactly?” Marvin asked dryly.

“Why does it feel like we're talking about Ashley?”
