Lincoln reacted fast. “Hey Noah! Block his view from the picture!” he shouted, already moving.

I was panicking hard. My heart raced in my chest as tears blurred my vision. “What’s going on?!” I cried out, voice cracking. “Somebody please explain to me! What the hell is happening to him?!”

Ryder kept clutching his head, bending forward with a low groan. His breathing was heavy and ragged, like he was fighting for control and losing. He tried — I could see him trying so hard — but whatever was happening inside him was stronger.
