We were trying our best to flee from Thelma and Chriselda, but it looks like we ran out of time.

Thelma has caught up with me.

She sat comfortably on the branch, still grinning right at me.

With the sorceress present, I began to hover my eyes around, looking for the Queen.

I doubt if she’s here on her own.

“What are you doing here in the woods, Evolet?” Thelma questioned, stealing my attention.

I turned and saw her floating down to the ground with her focus fixed at my point. She didn’t break her lock for even a second.

That alone made me extra careful.

“Aren’t you supposed to be in Wolf Fall?” She asked, making a step forward.

I drew back a bit, giving her no response.

When she saw this, she chuckled softly, asking while looking around, “Where’s your wolf? I don’t see him anywhere.”

“Wait, did he run off into the woods, dragging you this far? Oh, you poor girl,” She said, faking care.<
