Only Him - 21. You Can Leave

Lisa's POV

The next morning, I wake up refreshed. The sun is streaming in through the cracks in the curtains and the birds are chirping loudly. A yawn slips from my lips as I sit up in the bed. The talk with Alex changed things for me. Now, don't get me wrong I still despise him, but I just didn't feel like he would smother me with a pillow in my sleep. His wife, on the other hand, would kill me any chance she got.

I wasn't too worried about it though, with my recent new found powers, I felt stronger. My wolf talked to me much more often, much to my displeasure. She had even asked me to shift once or twice, but as much as I tried there was something that just wouldn't let me. It felt like a part of me was missing, like I didn't even have the ability to shift.

I got ready and went down. A part of me prayed to the goddess that he was in his office and I wouldn't have to face him, but the other part, the part deep, deep down that I never paid any atte
