He was supposed to be my everything. I was supposed to be his world. He was supposed to care for me, about me, and I was supposed to calm him down when he was angry. That was the basic need for a mate. They were your soul mate, your other half. They were there for those moments where nothing ever seemed to go right. They were your warm light in the cold darkness.

I was supposed to have a loving mate. Someone who would do anything for me. Someone that loved me. But all of that got ruined as soon as Alex was chosen to be my mate. I was never going to receive that treatment.
