She fell badly.
The man was the monitor and had a boring time, so he threw it away. The rich lady was also bored, not to mention the secretary.
He even asked someone else to make his coffee. One should not be too complacent.
The satirical remarks full of disdain made Elly bitter. She can object and deny it, but this is a company, she can't argue as easily.
Their colleagues usually joked happily, specially when Mr. Hagreaves treats her coldly.
Elly bowed her head and continued to work, her ears refused to listen to their words.
Even the weather took its turn to bully her. It was very sunny earlier during the day then it rained heavily later,and she didn't bring an umbrella.
