Chapter 20. Suspicion

She was still wearing her last night's outfit, her hair is slightly wet with some dewdrops on it. Alex knew that she must have been waiting here for such a long period, maybe all night.

"So, you think I will show mercy to you if I saw you like this?" Alex became extremely frustrated. She could have knocked on the door. However, she deliberately chose to wait outside, which now made him feel like a corrupt boss who had exploited his employee.

Alex kicked her in the legs, "You are such a stupid person! Wake up!"

No reaction was shown.

The second kick was increasingly harsh. Elly opened her eyes, startled that she has been disturbed along with trying to rub her legs.

"Who was the bastard that woke me up?" She wanders around, then faced up to such fierce eyes of her boss, who was staring directly at her,

"Good morning, Mr. Alex," She said in a softened voice.

"How long were you going to cry for help out here?" Alex sternly asked.
