Chapter 22

Priya’s POV

My mom was calling me on the phone, but I was still not calm enough to answer it, so I ignored it. I washed my face and drank some water. Rohit’s phone started ringing. Dad was calling him, he picked up the phone and told dad we would come back in 10 mins.

We went back. The results were to be announced soon. All my family was very excited about this, as our performance was the best. The judges announced us the winner in the folk dance category.

As soon as they announced it, my mom and aunty both hugged me. I was called up on the stage, I went there with my fellow dancers and we collected our prize. There was a big round of applause in the auditorium, everybody was very excited.

I came back and everybody appreciated my performance. Sia hugged me very tightly. Rohit was looking at her with amusement.

He said, “With your permission, Miss Sia, can I also hug my sister? I don’t want another slap.”
