Chapter 27
The mattress practically swallowed me when I sat down, and a sneeze crisis distracted me for a long five minutes. I reflected if it wouldn't be better to sleep naked, but considering the place where I was... I ended up accepting that an allergy was nothing close to waking up with an incubus on top of me.
After that, I lay down on the dark and soft sheets, letting my eyes relax for a second, and fell asleep the moment the lights went out. I didn't have dreams, but a noise woke me up in what I thought were just seconds of relaxation of the eyelids. The door that led to the room that separated my room from Faye was open, but I remembered having closed it when I passed. And at the foot of my bed, the figure of a woman stood up.
