To say I’m going crazy would be an understatement. While zooming past several pillars in the lobby my pulse keeps racing, sweat grazing my eyebrows. The tension lingering within my bones is so intense that my fingers tremble uncontrollably.
Not even knowing where I’m walking to, I halt suddenly, the weight of the world weighing down on me. Where did I go wrong? I ask myself as tears flow down my cheeks. I place my hands akimbo, my thoughts flying from one end of the earth to another. Who shall I seek help from?
“Husband,” Esos’ familiar voice interrupts my thoughts. I quickly wipe my face with my sleeves before turning to face her, ensuring my rage is evident on my face.
“Sweetheart, you need to calm down,” she edges closer.
“You will stay away from me!” I yell, baring my teeth in anguish. “You don’t even know the magnitude of what you have done! What were you thinking?”
