Just as she opened the car door and was about to get out, a strong hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her back in.

“What are you doing?” Cassandra Taylor frowned slightly and asked.

Before she could say more, Damien Blackwood leaned in and gently placed a soft kiss on her smooth forehead.

“That was a goodnight kiss,” Damien said with a harmless smile. His handsome face held a faint blush, half from alcohol, half from the lighting that flickered dimly through the car windows. His deep, sapphire-like eyes shimmered with a hint of mystery. “Now it’s your turn… give me one too, Sugar.”

“Oh…” Cassandra replied, her ears quietly flushing red. She leaned forward, planting a shy kiss on his forehead.

“Goodnight, Sugar.”

“Goodnight, Mr. Blackwood.”

And with that, she quickly stepped out of the car.

Damien sat quietly, watching her slender figure disappear under the dim streetlight in front of the Taylor home. The haze in his eyes vanished the mo
